The VFM-058W is an advanced 5.5″ TVLogic IPS LCD on-camera monitor, an upgrade to the 056W. It has a sleek and minimalist design with a robust magnesium body. It’s compact at 6 x 4″ and weighs only 0.75 lb. A screw-on acrylic screen protector is included to prevent scratches and keep dust out. All the controls are on top, consisting of an encoder button and menu button on one side, and three preset buttons on the other.
The monitor has a 1080p display with a 450 nit brightness, 1000:1 contrast ratio, and 160° viewing angle. Monitoring functions include waveform, vectorscope, and 16-channel audio level meter display. Connections consist of 3G-SDI and HDMI inputs and outputs, and a 3.5mm stereo jack. The SDI output supports HDMI-to-SDI conversion at up to 1080p, pulling the signal from the screen. An external heatsink is integrated on the rear that provides for optimal ventilation.
